How does Genius RF work?
Genius RF microneedling at Rejuve Medspa uses a handheld device with 49 gold-plated sterile needles to deliver radio-frequency energy, stimulating your own body's collagen and elastin production. Dr. Kaplan programs the proper settings depending on the problem being addressed. The Genius device monitors the energy delivery in real-time and adjusts the flow as needed to ensure the right amount of energy is delivered for each patient and treatment.
What can Genius RF Treat?
On the body, Genius RF can address loose skin, wrinkles, stretch marks, scars, cellulite and fat reduction. 1 - 3 sessions may be required for best results.
What is the downtime for Genius RF?
Because the needles with Genius RF are ultra-fine, there is little injury to the surface of the skin. You can expect some redness and minor swelling after the treatment. The swelling resolves quickly (within 1-3 days). The redness is at its peak the first 3-5 days and typically fades over the coarse of 1-3 weeks. You want to avoid soaking your treated skin under water (i.e. avoid saunas, swimming and baths) for 2 weeks. You also want to avoid strenuous activity that would cause sweating for 24-48 hours. But otherwise, you can return to normal activity quickly.
What does the Genius RF treatment feel like?
Genius RF requires topical numbing with medical grade numbing creams. The treatment can be a bit “spicy” (hot, stinging sensation), but otherwise well- tolerated.
